Rising from the ashes of the folk-rocking Arizona outfit ‘The Bittersweets’ in 1967, Phoenix musicians 'Twentieth Century Zoo’ are born to take you on a journey through the catchy and energetic, to the surreal and dreamy with their debut record ‘Thunder on a Clear Day’.

Drifting from acid-soaked rock, to melancholic blues and borrowing influence from soul, funk and jazz along the way, this fuzzed out gem from the earliest days of the Phoenix Valley rock and roll scene stands as one of the rarest and purest slices of mid-'60s psychedelia around, with tracks including ‘Rainbow’, ‘Bull Frog’ and ‘Love in Your Face’.

Twentieth Century Zoo, a US Psychedelic Rock band. Their regional acclaim came after releasing singles and an album before disbanding in 1970. Originally, as The Bittersweets, they started as a folk rock group managed by Chari Zelman. Their sound shifted upon changing to Twentieth Century Zoo, releasing successful singles.
